European SOUTH ATLANTIC BIOPHYSICS
Congress 2026

On behalf of the Organizing Committee, it is our great pleasure to present the European South Atlantic Biophysics Congress that will take place in Montpellier (South of France), on June 17^th-19^th, 2026.

The meeting is being organized as a joint effort by the Spanish Biophysical Society (SBE), the French Biophysics Society (SFB) and the Portuguese Biophysics Society (SPBf), to gather scientists for presenting their most exciting biophysical research work.

This congress is the second event in a regional agreement between the three societies to organize periodic conferences to promote biophysics, particularly among scientists from all over Europe. Grants will be offered to help young scientists participate financially. The first one in San Sebastian (Donastia-Spain) in 2024 had attracted more than 250 attendees. This congress is an excellent opportunity for researchers to meet and discuss potential collaborations in a genuinely multidisciplinary environment in the field of Biophysics. The participation of three societies will broaden the networking activities and the dissemination of knowledge in biophysics. The event will include a Satellite Workshop on June 16th, 2026, focused on early-stage researchers, with an expected attendance of 50 students.

This Congress has proven to have the potential as a reference meeting in Europe for a large and diverse community of researchers and companies working in Biophysics. We are setting up an inspiring event that will provide plenty of opportunities for interaction and networking.
